Comes with new infotainment system

Maruti Suzuki is releasing new teasers of the upcoming Brezza. The new generation of compact SUV will launch on June 30th. Till now, Maruti has released three teasers. Now, there is a new teaser that showcases the new touchscreen infotainment system of the Brezza.

The new infotainment system is co-developed with Toyota and runs on a new user interface. It measures 9-inches in size while the lower variants will still be equipped with a 7-inch unit. There is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on offer.

Moreover, the infotainment system also shows vehicle-related information. It will also offer a lot more connected car features through Suzuki Connect. The larger screen means that it is divided into segments so that it can show various different things at the same time. It would come connected to an Arkamys-powered sound system with Surround Sense.

The manufacturer has also teased an electric sunroof. It was about time that Maruti Suzuki equipped one of their vehicle with an electric sunroof.  The Brezza is the first one to do so. They also showcased a 360-degree parking camera that will help in parking the compact SUV more easily. Then there is the heads-up display which will show the driver various information directly in his line of sight. It would show information like speedometer, gear indicator, real-time fuel economy, time and even blower controls. All these features except the electric sunroof have been taken from the Baleno.

The steering wheel is also carried over from the Baleno. It is a three-spoke multi-function unit with a flat bottom. This gives a sporty feeling to the cabin as well as the driver. Maruti Suzuki has also revised the design of the interior. There is a new dashboard and the new infotainment system will take the centre stage as it will be placed as a floating unit.

There is a new dashboard with a redesigned centre console. The cabin will still be finished in an all-black theme with grey and brown inserts. We are also expecting slightly redesigned upholstery. We already know that there will be new a new instrument cluster that will still house an analogue speedometer and tachometer. The multi-information display will be new for the Brezza and this time it will be a coloured TFT screen.

The Brezza would be offered in four variants. There will be LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. Maruti Suzuki will offer an automatic transmission with all the variants except the base LXi variant.

Maruti Suzuki is using the 1.5-litre K12C petrol engine to power the 2022 Brezza. It is a four-cylinder, naturally aspirated unit that we have also seen on the XL6 and the Ertiga. It is an updated version of the 1.5-litre K12B engine that was previously used.

The new engine gets Maruti’s DualJet technology which gives more precise over fueling. The engine produces a max power output of 137 PS and a peak torque output of 137 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. If you get the automatic transmission then you would also get paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel.
