One of the popular sub 4 meter SUV offered in the Indian market- Mahindra XUV300 is expected to get a facelift in the first quarter of 2023. The new variant of Mahindra XUV 300 will be offered with a brand new engine that has made a debut in the Auto Expo 2020. Along with an engine upgrade the new SUV is expected to get some interior upgrade as well, reported Autocar.

The facelift Mahindra XUV300 will offer a new 1.2 mStallion T-GDI petrol engine. Even though the engine will be of the same capacity as the current XUV300 (petrol variant) it will be more powerful. The 1.2 mStallion T-GDI petrol engine will provide 130hp of maximum power and 230Nm of peak torque. It is 20hp and 30 Nm more than the currently offered version. The lower version of the XUV300 facelift will be offered with 1.2 three-cylinder mFalcon engine that is offered in KUV 100.

The higher models of the XUV300 will get the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that is currently offered.

In terms of interior we expect that the SUV will get new infotainment system along with some other cosmetic upgrades. The new upgrades might include a refreshed grille along with generous touch of chrome. The facelift XUV300 will also get the new Mahindra logo.

The XUV300 faces direct competition from the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza in the Indian market. The XUV300 currently costs between Rs 9.15 lakh and Rs 15.64 lakh (ex-showroom Bhubaneswar). We expect a bit of price rise when the facelift Mahindra XUV300 is launched in 2023.
