Hyundai recently launched the Knight Edition of Creta silently. It starts at Rs. 13.35 lakhs ex-showroom and is offered in four variants. There is  1.5-petrol MT S+ Knight, 1.5-petrol IVT SX(O), 1.5-diesel MT S+ Knight, and 1.5-diesel AT SX(O) Knight. You can get them in a single-tone paint scheme or dual-tone paint scheme. Here, we have a walkaround video of the S+ Knight variant.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by MUTHUKUMAR indian. The Creta is finished in a Titan Grey paint scheme. The host directly climbs into the interior of the mid-size SUV. We can see red accents on the AC vents and seats. It gives a sporty look to the mid-size SUV.

Hyundai uses similar accents on the Turbo variants of Creta. However, instead of red colour they are using orange.

The Creta Knight Edition with an analogue instrument cluster with a multi-information display. There is a multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, push-button to start/stop the engine, keyless entry, touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents, USB charging sockets and much more.

Cosmetically, it gets dark metal blacked-out alloy wheels and red brake calipers.  The front grille is the same as the regular variants but it is now finished in gloss black with red accents. The skid plate is usually finished in silver but now it is in black colour.  The roof rails, side sills and outside rearview mirrors also get blacked-out treatment.

The Petrol MT S+ is priced at Rs. 13.35 lakhs, Diesel MT S+ is priced at Rs. 14.31 lakhs. Then there are the automatic variants. The Petrol IVT SX (O) is priced at Rs. 14.31 lakhs and Diesel AT SX (O) will cost Rs. 18.01 lakhs. All the prices are ex-showroom.

No mechanical changes

There are no mechanical changes to the Knight Edition. It still comes with the same 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.5-litre petrol engine. The diesel engine produces 115 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque whereas the naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 115 PS of max power and 144 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines get a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The petrol engine gets a CVT automatic transmission whereas the diesel engine gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

There is also a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that comes with direct injection. It produces 140 PS of max power and 242 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to only a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. You also get paddle shifters to take manual control of the gearbox. There are also three traction modes namely, Snow, Sand and Mud. Moreover, there are three drive modes, Comfort, Sport and Eco.

Prices and variants

The Creta starts at Rs. 10.28 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 18.02 lakhs ex-showroom. Apart from the Knight variants, there are six other variants to choose from. They are E, EX, S, SX Executive, SX, and SX(O).

Rivals

Hyundai Creta competes against Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and Volkswagen Taigun.
