Photo of Muthoot Group ‘board of directors’ goes viral, leaves Twitter amused

A photo, shared on Twitter by user Jiten Parmer, was apparently taken from the finance firm’s website. It got netizens taking because all seven of the people listed as directors are remarkably named George.

“Imagine the concall. Or board meet. Just to lighten mood in the markets. No offense,” Parmar quipped.

The tweet has now collected over 2,000 likes and more than 320 retweets. Unsurprisingly, it left hundreds of users amused. Some asked whether the photo was real or a work of edit.

“Minutes of meeting- George chaired the meeting and appreciated the idea presented by George and supported by George. George proposed that this new venture will led by George and George, George and George will be key stakeholders in it. At last George thanked all George,” a user quipped.

“Next year I can this as an example to teach permutations,” wrote another.

“Some Christian families in Kerala has this tradition of naming their children with their grand father’s names. And these people are all cousins/relatives from same generation and their grand father must be George except for the young guy whose GF is Alexander,” wrote the third user.

The latest photo on Muthoogroup.com is quite different from the one that went viral. It shows only three people – the Chairman of The Muthoot Group of Companies – George Jacob Muthoot, Managing Director George Alexander Muthoot, and Joint Managing Director, George Thomas Muthoot.
