In the past few weeks, we have witnessed multiple new car launches including the new Baleno, WagonR Facelift and the Skoda Slavia. The trend will continue, as 3 new cars will be introduced in our market next week.

2022 MG ZS ELectric Unveiled

MG Motor India is all set to launch the new ZS EV in the country on March 7, 2022. It is expected that the new model will initially be offered in a single fully-loaded Exclusive trim. The company has already released the exterior and interior images of the SUV. It will come equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 360 degree camera and a digital instrument console. The SUV will have connected car tech, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, automatic headlamps, rear AC vents, a centre armrest, etc.

The electric SUV gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, blind spot detection, parking assist and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). In terms of styling, the SUV could get a new blanked-off grille area, updated bumpers, sleeker LED headlamps & New LED DRLs, new 17-inch alloys and LED tail-lights. The official specifications of the 2022 MG ZS EV are yet to be revealed. It is expected to be equipped with a larger 51kWh battery pack instead of the 44.5kWh unit in the outgoing model. The new battery pack is expected to offer a range of around 480km.

VW Virtus GT Variant

German automaker, Volkswagen will unveil the much-awaited Virtus mid-sized sedan in the country on March 8, 2022. The new model will be based on the MQB AO IN platform that underpins the Taigun mid-sized SUV. Set to replace the Vento sedan, the new VW Virtus will rival the likes of the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and the recently launched Skoda Slavia.

The new Volkswagen Virtus will be offered with two petrol engines – a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI. While the former is good for 113bhp and 178Nm of torque, the later produces 147bhp and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque convertor automatic with 1.0L and a 7-speed DSG automatic with 1.5L.

Lexus NX 350h – Launch On March 9

Lexus NX350h

Lexus will launch the new generation NX 350h in the Indian market on March 9, 2022. The new model will be offered in 3 variants – Exquisite, Luxury and F-Sport – in a single petrol-hybrid powertrain. The NX 350h comes with significantly revised exterior. It gets new sinhle piece headlamps, new ‘spindle’ grille, new bumpers, a longer bonnet and new LED tail-lights.

Inside the cabin, the NX 350h gets a new 9-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument and a new steering wheel, The NX F-Sport variant will come with a 360 degree parking camera, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, powered front seats. It will be equipped with a 192bhp, 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine. The engine has a pair of e-motors fitted on the front and rear axles. With AWD system, the SUV delivers a combined power of 244bhp.
