TVS Ronin Pricing, Variants, Colours and Features explained

The TVS Ronin 225 is the company’s first ever neo-retro scrambler-style motorcycle, launched in India recently. In this article we list out all that you need to about the new Ronin 225 before you head to the showroom. 

Pricing                    

To begin with the TVS Ronin is offered in three variants. And all three are differentiated by their colour schemes, so there is the the single-tone version, dual-tone and triple-tone version. That said, the most affordable variant of the Ronin will cost you Rs 1.49 lakh, ex-showroom. On the other hand, the dual-tone variant has been priced Rs 5,000 higher at Rs 1.55 lakh. But if you are attracted to the triple-tone colour scheme variant, that will set you back by Rs 1.68 lakh, ex-showroom. 

Colours

TVS Motor Company is offering the Ronin in six colour options. The single-tone variant is offered in Magma Red that features on the fuel-tank and side panels. It is also available Lightning Black that is completely blacked-out. Both these paint options come with black fork bottles.

Then there is the Delta Blue and Stargaze Black options that feature red pinstripe stickers on the alloy wheels and golden fork bottles. Lastly, there is the Triple tone variant that is also available in two colour schemes. You get the Galactic Grey option that gets a mix of grey and black with yellow highlights that runs on the tank and panels. Or you could opt for the Dawn Orange paint that has a similar combination as the grey, only with orange. Now, both options come with a brown seat and golden fork bottles. Even the exhaust shield is done in black. 

Features

TVS has been known to equip their offerings with interesting features and the Ronin is no different. There is a full-LED lighting setup for the headlamp, tail lamp and tail lights as well. And all of them have unique styling. While the headlamp features a ‘T’ DRL, the indicators are similar to what are seen on the BMW G310 range. Meanwhile, a sleek tail lamp completes the look.

Apart from that, the Ronin features an asymmetrically-mounted LCD instrument cluster that comes with the TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth module that can connect with the dedicated smartphone application to offer some useful data. You also get two ABS modes- Rain and Road, slipper clutch and the Glide through technology. 

Engine

The Ronin 225 offers 20.1bhp at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm of peak torque at 3,750rpm from its 225cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled motor that comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Its hardware comprises of upside-down front forks and seven-step preload-adjustable monoshock. Meanwhile, a 300mm disc at the front, and a 240mm rotor at the back are used for braking.
