[ad_1]

It seems that the electric revolution in cars in India is intensifying further. Tata Motors is all set to introduce another electric vehicle in India. The leading Indian car manufacturer has teased the upcoming launch through its official Twitter account. The latest post by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited asks the audience to stay tuned to the unveiling of a stunning, dynamic, and electrifying car on 6 April, 2022.

The 18-second video teaser shared by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited shows the close-up shots of the upcoming electric car. The unveiling of the latest electric car will be at 12 PM IST on 6 April, 2022. At this point, we do not have a specific idea in our head about the upcoming launch. We are expecting the new electric passenger vehicle to be a Nexon EV long-range or an Altroz EV.

The 2022 Tata Nexon EV is expected to offer a larger battery pack of 40kWh. The larger the battery pack, the more is the range of the vehicle. Currently, the Tata Nexon EV offers a range of 312 km (ARAI claimed). However, the real-world range of 200-220km is offered by Nexon EV. The new Tata Nexon EV is expected to offer a range of 400km. This roughly means that the real-world mileage that the users will get is around 300km.

With a larger battery pack, the weight of the 2022 Tata Nexon EV will increase. However, the boot space of the EV will be reduced (as a bigger battery will be adjusted). The new Nexon will get a 6.6kW AC charger. The current generation of Nexon EV is offered with 3.3kW AC charger which takes around 10 hours to completely charge the battery. We expect that the 6.6kW AC charger will be optional for the buyers. We expect that the new Nexon EV will offer some style updates, security features and along with multiple riding modes.

The 2022 Tata Nexon will get a price hike of around Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh over the current generation of Nexon EV. This roughly means that the final price of the Nexon EV will be around Rs 18 lakh. However, the long-range variant of Nexon will be sold alongside the current generation of Nexon. This means users will have more options to choose from. Those who have a tight budget can opt for a lower variant, while others can opt for a Nexon long-range variant.

If Tata introduces the Altroz EV in India, the manufacturer will have three EVs under its belt which is a great achievement for an Indian car manufacturer.
