Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2022 Baleno facelift premium hatchback in a short while. The launch event will broadcast live on social media handles of Maruti’s premium car outlet Nexa.
What should be the price structure?
The existing Baleno models are priced between ₹7.01 lakh (ex-showroom) and ₹10.86 lakh (ex-showroom). However, given that Maruti will be driving in a much more feature-packed Baleno, the price will be higher. Yet, to keep it competitive to take on its rivals, Maruti is likely to price the new generation Baleno starting from around ₹6.50 lakh mark. The price of the top-spec variants may go beyond ₹10 lakh for all the tech features on offer.
Refreshing looks for a new-age Baleno
Recently leaked images of the Baleno hatchback has revealed a lot about the car ahead of the official launch. It shows that the 2022 Baleno will get a redesigned wider front grille flanked by a new set of LED headlights with three-element DRLs. At the sides, the new Baleno will get chrome treatment on the window lines besides the redesigned 10-spoke alloy wheels. The rear end of the car will feature new LED wraparound taillights and the rear bumper will also be updated for a well-rounded look.
New-age Baleno to be a connected car
Maruti will offer connected car tech features in the new generation Baleno. Maruti has added the new Suzuki Connect app, which will come with advanced telematics solution. It promises to be smarter than the previous edition and offer a ‘host of intelligent features’ for the customers. It will have more than 40 connectivity features along with Amazon Alexa voice commands too.
New infotainment screen for a new-age car
