Tata Motors has created a lot of buzz around the upcoming ‘Kaziranga’ Special Edition for its entire SUV lineup on its social media handles. A video has surfaced on YouTube, showing the Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition in all its glory.
The Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition is based on the top-spec Creative variant of the Punch and is shown here with a manual transmission. The video is by MotorWorld Rishabh.

The Special Edition is also expected to be available with the AMT gearbox. As shown in the official teasers, the Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition is painted in Grassland Beige colour option, which happens to be the sole paint scheme for this Special Edition variant.
The other visual highlights on the exterior of the Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition are black-coloured rhino badges on the front fenders and a small Rhino embellishment at the bottom of the rear windscreen, which is also known as ‘Easter Egg’. The A-pillars, roof and rearview mirrors are painted in gloss black finish, with the B and C-pillars blacked out too. As in the Creative variant, this Special Edition variant also features a rear windscreen wiper and defogger, 16-inch machined alloy wheels and body cladding all around.
Changes inside as well
On the inside, the biggest visual difference in the Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition over the regular Creative variant is the dual-tone black and beige upholstery in the Special Edition. The seats and middle layer of the dashboard get beige treatment, while the seats have a perforated design for them. In addition, the steering wheel, AC vents surround, inner door handles and transmission lever have gloss black touches for them.
Apart from these cosmetic enhancements, the Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition does not get additional features over the Creative variant, on which it is based. The feature list comprises a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, steering-mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, push start-stop button, automatic climate control and driver seat height adjustment. Safety features in this new variant include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors and camera, brake sway control, cornering fog lamps, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and cornering stability control.
The Tata Punch Kaziranga Special Edition retains the 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine from the regular variants of the Punch. To be made available with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, this engine produces 86 PS of maximum power and 113 Nm of maximum torque.
