Kia launches 2022 Seltos and 2022 Sonet in the Indian market

Kia Motors has launched the 2022 Seltos and 2022 Sonet in the Indian market. The Sonet now starts at Rs. 7.15 lakhs whereas the Seltos now start at Rs. 10.19 lakhs. Both the prices are ex-showroom. There are some cosmetic updates but most of the changes include the addition of more features. Two new colours have been added to both the SUVs. They are called Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver.

Until now, we have sold almost 2.67 Lakh units of Seltos and nearly 1.25 Lakh units of Sonet in the Indian market. We are confident that the refreshed Seltos and Sonet will be greeted with the same enthusiasm and commitment that our customers have shown towards us from the beginning of our journey in India.”

Kia has introduced the 2022 Seltos with a new iMT transmission for the diesel engine. It will be available on the HTK+ variant. The diesel engine continues to stay the same so it is a 1.5-litre unit that produces 115 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque. There is also a new HTX AT variant. Now, the paddle shifters are available on all variants that are equipped with automatic transmission. The same is true for drive modes and traction modes.
In terms of equipment, Kia is now offering side airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Brake Assist, All-wheel Disc Brakes and Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as standard. The HTX+ variant of the Seltos will now come with curtain airbags. Then there are cosmetic changes to the Seltos logo which we will see throughout the SUV. The X-Line variant will now get X Line Logo on Indigo Pera Seats. The Seltos is now sold in 19 variants and the prices start from Rs. 10.19 lakhs ex-showroom and they go up to Rs. 18.45 lakhs ex-showroom.
2022 Sonet
There are no mechanical changes to the Sonet. Instead, Kia has added some features to the compact SUV. Sonet now comes with side airbags and Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as standard. The iMT variants will now come with Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Brake Assist and Electronic Stability Control. Curtain airbags would be offered from HTX+ variants.
You would get a 4.2-inch colour instrument cluster from the HTX variant and from HTE variants, you would get semi leatherette upholstery. Kia has also updated the Sonet logo which we will get to see throughout the compact SUV. The Sonet will be now sold in 21 variants. The prices start from Rs. 7.15 lakhs ex-showroom and go up to Rs. 13.09 lakhs ex-showroom.
