Reliance Jio’s Rs 259 prepaid plan renews on the same date every month, here’s how 

Reliance Jio has launched a prepaid plan that comes with the attributes of a postpaid plan. Now if you are wondering how that is done, the prepaid plan renews on the same day every month. Such prepaid plans are called “Calendar Month Validity” and Reliance Jio has become the first-ever telecom subscriber to come up with a calendar month validity plan. The new plan by Reliance Jio is priced at Rs 259. The move comes months after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) mandated telcos to have at least one prepaid plan with a validity of 30 days.

Reliance Jio recently came up with the Rs 259 prepaid plan, which is the company’s first calendar month validity plan. This plan is different from all the other prepaid plans that Jio has. That is because the plan allows users to enjoy unlimited data and calling benefits for a period of exactly 1 calendar month. The plan recurs on the same date every month. This is similar to how the postpaid plans are.

Benefits of Rs 259 prepaid plan

The Reliance Jio Rs 259 prepaid plan offers 1.5GB of data per day. Once you exhaust the daily data benefit, you can browse the internet at the speed of 64kbps. Along with the daily data benefits, the Reliance Jio plan also offers unlimited voice calling. You also get 100SMS per day and a complimentary subscription to Jio apps. The plan comes with a validity of one month and gets renewed at the end of every month.

What is the Calendar Month Validity prepaid plan?

The calendar month validity plan is way more convenient than the regular plans that offer validity of only 28 days. This not only saves money but also gives you two-three extra days at around the same price point.

So, if you are a Reliance Jio subscriber, you can recharge your number with the Rs259 monthly plan on, let’s say 5th April, then the next recurring recharge dates would be May 5, June 5, and so on. The prepaid plan will get automatically renewed by the end of the month if you recharge your number with the Rs 259 prepaid plan multiple times at once. So, basically, if you recharge your number for Rs 259 twelve times, you will never have to worry about recharging your phone number for the entire year.

When you recharge your number in advance, the recharged plan goes into a queue and automatically becomes active on the date of expiry of the currently active plan, thereby offering peace of mind. The plan is available to both new and existing users through all online and offline channels.
