Mahindra XUV900 halo electric SUV teased: Premium EV’s unveil on August 15th

In a fresh teaser video, Mahindra has shared glimpses of an upcoming electric SUV that is rumoured to be the XUV900 Coupe. This comes ahead of Mahindra’s ‘Born Electric’ debut on August 15, when the automaker is expected to announce its new range of electric SUVs. While it is safe to say that the production version of the rumoured XUV900 Coupe is still a few years away. The electric version of the XUV300 is expected to be the first launch under Mahindra’s Born Electric.

In the teaser video, it has been made clear that the upcoming SUV is designed at the company’s freshly set up Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE) facility, under the leadership of chief design officer, Pratap Bose. The video also touches upon Mahindra’s incorporation of their learning from Formula-E in the development of the SUV. In an another video released earlier, we also saw a cockpit like interior with digital displays behind a futuristic steering wheel. Mahindra has also given a unique aerodynamic design for the wheels on the car that will make it more efficient. Digital ORVM wings were also spotted on the exterior of the vehicle.

Interior glimpse

Mahindra also shared a glimpse of the SUV’s interiors, in which a square shaped steering wheel sporting Mahindra’s new logo sat in front of a wide digital display. The central dashboard seems to be stretching till the back of the vehicle, separating the driver and passenger areas and creating a fighter jet like cockpit. The production version of the SUV is expected to be unveiled some time in 2023 or 2024. Overall, Mahindra is set to launch 7 EVs under its Born Electric range.
