For those who are unknown, the Maruti Eeco was launched in India in 2010 as the successor to the Omni van.
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is offered as a passenger van as well as a commercial van. Both variants of the van enjoy good sales in India. Even though the Eeco has been the successor of Omni, it refrained from having the typical boxy design of its predecessor. Speaking about the positive aspects, the Eeco offered more efficiency, space and usability than the Omni. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco also gets an option for a factory-fitted CNG variant.
The current generation of Maruti Eeco is offered in four variants as 5 seater / 7seater. The 5 seater standard petrol variant starts from Rs 4.63 lakh and goes up to Rs 5.94 lakh. Users can opt for a 1.2-litre petrol engine variant or a CNG engine variant.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine (1196cc) is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox and offers a maximum power of [email protected] 6000rpm while the maximum torque offered is [email protected] rpm. On the other hand, the CNG variant has a dip in power and torque. It produces a maximum power of 61.68bhp @6000rpm while the maximum torque offered is [email protected] rpm.
