Mahindra on Friday has officially unveiled its new Mahindra Scorpio SUV. The company has announced that it will be called Mahindra Scorpio-N. The carmaker has confirmed that it will be launched in India on June 27. Moreover, Mahindra has also shared images of the new Mahindra Scorpio-N that has revealed more information about the new SUV.
The carmaker has also said that the current generation of Mahindra Scorpio will continue to retail as the Mahindra Scorpio Classic. The new SUV has been designed by the Mahindra India Design Studio (M.I.D.S) in Mumbai, and engineered at the state-of-the-art facilities of Mahindra Research Valley (M.R.V.) near Chennai.

As per the company, the all-new Mahindra Scorpio-N will compete in a higher segment than the current Scorpio. It has a new interior and exterior design as well as modern features and the latest technology.
The Mahindra Scorpio N is built on a new body-on-frame platform and has a boxy exterior design. The Scorpio-N features a new grille, six slats and the new Mahindra logo at the centre. It has a honeycomb mesh for the air dams below the logo. It has received new LED twin-pod projector headlights and C-shaped LED fog lights. It flaunts strong lines across the hood that accentuate its SUV stance. The SUV also has a gentle dash of chrome at the front, as well as on the side of the door handles. It also gets black cladding and the silver highlights that gives it a rugged appeal. It has got 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, the SUV is expected to sport an all new design and is expected to come with a much larger touchscreen, vertically placed AC vents, and some interior elements shared with the XUV700.
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio was spied with a 360 degree camera, rear disc brakes, turn indicators, cruise control and connected car technology along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Alexa support.
It may have multiple airbags, front parking sensors, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system and high speed alert as safety features. It will also get speed sensing door lock, rear parking sensors, ABS and EBD.
The all new Mahindra Scorpio-N will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines, and a choice of manual and automatic transmissions, along with 4×4 capabilities.
It will likely be sold alongside the current Scorpio which was recently updated. It will rival against Tata Safari, MG Hector and the Hyundai Alcazar. The new Scorpio could be priced between Rs 12 to 19 lakh (ex-showroom).
