Long range variant of Tata Nexon EV named as Nexon EV Max

Tata Motors is all set to launch its new electric car in India this month. The new electric vehicle will be the long-range version of the much popular Tata Nexon EV. The name of the long range version of the Tata Nexon EV will be Nexon EV MAX and the company has teased the same on its official Twitter handle (Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited). The EV is expected to offer more range than the existing version of Tata Nexon along with added features.
The Tata Nexon EV Max is expected to get launched in India on May 11. The EV is expected to get an upgrade in terms of internal features. An updated powertrain will be offered on the car which will make it stand out against the regular Nexon. The range of the Nexon EV Max is expected to get a hike as it will have a 40kWh battery pack on board along with a 136PS electric motor. However, there are some more additional features on the Tata Nexon EV Max which were teased by the company in the teaser.

According to the teaser, the new Nexon EV Max will get a new gear selector which will offer several modes on it. The modes will include Park mode, electronic parking brake, hill descent control etc. The rotary gear selector is illuminated in blue backlight. The Sport and Eco modes are present near the rotary gear selector. We expect that the car will have much more features to offer. However, some of the important features on the Nexon EV Max should include a 7-inch touchscreen, alloy wheels, sunroof, climate control, LED lighting setup etc.
The upcoming Tata Nexon EV MAX is likely to cost more than the existing Nexon EV costs between Rs 14.79 lakh and Rs 17.40 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). However, the long-range variant of Nexon will be sold alongside the current generation of Nexon. In this way, the company can provide more choices to customers to choose from according to their budget. In the Indian market, it will compete with the likes of Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV.
