Leading two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor is expected to launch a new variant of its popular scooter in the coming months. TVS has teased about the same too. According to the latest teaser released by the company, it will launch a new variant of Ntorq 125. From what we observed from the teaser we are hoping that the scooter might be named as Ntorq XT. However, we are not sure whether the company will give a new name to the variant or not.

In terms of the TVS Ntorq line-up, the XT variant is expected to be placed above the XP variants. As far as it seems from the teased image, the TVS Ntorq XT will not have any major changes in terms of upgrades. The changes to the scooter will be merely aesthetic. The new variant will get a new paint scheme and is expected to get revised instrument cluster along with some technological upgrades.

Just like the other variants, the engine of the scooter will be the same 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The engine produces a 9.25 hp power and 10.5 Nm torque. The top speed that is offered by the TVS Ntorq 125 is 95 kmph. The scooter can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 9 seconds. The under-seat storage of the scooter is 20-litres.

Some of the other important features of the scooter will include LED fuel indicator, USB charger, engine kill switch, dual steering lock, disc brake of 220mm etc.

In terms of price, the TVS Ntorq XP is expected to cost more than the existing ‘XP’ trim which costs Rs 89,211 (ex-showroom). We expect that the launch will be somewhere in next few months. In the Indian market, the scooter will compete with the likes of Suzuki Avenis 125, Honda Dio, and Aprilia SR 125 etc.
