2022 Hyundai Venue facelift unveiled officially: Bookings open

Hyundai has taken wraps off the new Venue facelift. They will be launching the compact SUV on June 16th. It will get a host of exterior changes and there might be some interior changes as well. The manufacturer has also started accepting bookings for Rs. 21,000.
Commenting on the commencement of bookings, Mr. Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “Hyundai VENUE has had a stellar success in India ever since its launch in 2019. Driven by the aspirations of Gen MZ customers, the new Hyundai VENUE is set to enthral customers with many first in segment technologies that offer an unparalleled experience, for instance, customers can now control many car functions through Home to car (H2C) with Alexa & Google Voice Assistant: 60+ Bluelink Connected features; and 2 Step Rear Reclining Seat. We are confident that the new Hyundai VENUE will build on the strong brand legacy and amplify the Hyundai SUV Life for unmatched customer delight.”
As expected, Hyundai has made some changes to the feature list of the 2022 Venue. It will come with support for Google Voice Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Bluelink connected car features with more than 60 features. Using the voice command assistant, you can check the idle time alert, remote control climate, remote unlock/lock door, check vehicle status, tyre pressures, find your car, check the fuel level, speed alerts, and time fencing alert. Moreover, the rear seat now gets a two-step recline function.

Hyundai has also added three drive modes. There are Normal, Eco and Sports. There are also Sounds of Nature that Hyundai and Kia offer in some of their other vehicles. Moreover, there will be firmware over the air update also. The manufacturer has also announced that they will offer the Venue in seven colour options. There will be Phantom Black, Polar White, Fiery Red, Typhoon Silver, Denim Blue and Titan Grey. There will also be a dual-tone colour called Fiery Red with a Black roof.
The Venue Facelift will be offered in five variants and multiple powertrain options. The engine and gearbox combo is expected to stay the same as the current Venue. So, there will be three engines on offer. A 1.0-litre turbo petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The gearbox options will be a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DSG.
The exterior of the Venue also looks heavily updated. It gets a new grille, updated bumper and new turn indicator design. On the sides, there are alloy wheels. At the rear, there are some pretty huge updates in terms of new LED tail lamps which are now connected via a light bar. The reversing lights are now placed in the new bumper which is also new.
