Speaking on the occasion, Mr Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India said, “With the launch of the BMW i4, I am excited to introduce the first electric mid-size sedan in the country. BMW i4 effortlessly combines sheer driving pleasure with sustainability as never experienced before. Thanks to its unique combination of BMW eDrive technology, extremely slim and high-voltage lithium-ion battery, rear wheel drive and advanced suspension kinematics, the BMW i4 gets an outstanding sporty feel.

Absolute luxury with class leading ambience, generous space, and rear axle air suspension ensures maximum comfort even for longer trips. Excitingly dynamic, comfortable and powerful in equal measure, the BMW i4 provides a truly electrifying experience that exceeds all expectations – every day, every trip. BMW Group today offers the most extensive and diverse portfolio of electric cars for Indian customers”.

On the outside, the all-new BMW i4 is a beautifully designed sedan which the company claims is the most aerodynamic electric vehicle in its class. Expansive closed surfaces and crisp lines define the front of the i4. The luxury EV’s functional yet contemporary character is highlighted by the grey inlays in the front apron and vertical side apertures. The blue ring surrounding the BMW emblem and the minimalist reworking of the radiator grille are a few of the design cues that set apart the all-electric nature of this mid-size sedan.

The side view of the i4 is characterised by a long wheelbase, doors with frameless windows, fluid lines of the roof and short overhangs. Meanwhile, the rear of the car showcases a sharp vertical rear spoiler, recessed surfaces, thin curves and horizontal lines. These design details are highlighted by the compact L-shaped rear LED lights.
