[ad_1]
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the all-new Baleno hatchback in the market. In comparison to the previous model, the 2022 version is a lot more updated in terms on features and gets a matured and premium looking exterior. Maruti Baleno is a premium hatchback and it competes with cars like Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and Honda Jazz in the segment. There are several videos related to customisations and aftermarket accessories available for Baleno. Here we have a render video where artist reimagines the premium hatchback as a premium crossover. How does the Baleno crossover look? Let’s check the video to find out.
The video has been uploaded by Bimble Designs on their YouTube channel. In this video, the artist makes changes to the premium hatchback to convert it into a crossover. He starts with the wheels. The wheels play a crucial role in changing the overall look of the car. The render artist did not change the design of the wheels but, he made them bigger. The wheel arches were made wider to accommodate bigger wheels. Once the car got bigger wheels, the tyres were also replaced with chunky looking units. the bigger wheels also meant that the ground clearance of the car increased.

The Baleno was starting to look like a crossover. The artist then makes fender flares to achieve a rugged look that will make it more like a crossover. The artist then moves to the front and makes minor changes. He mentions it in the video that he is not a big fan of the new Baleno’s front bumper so he is changing it. He extended the bumper down and made it look more muscular. The headlamps, grille and the fog lamps all remained the same as regular version. There were no chrome garnishes on the bumper and the front grille. The door handles were also blacked-out and a gloss black roof rails were also installed. The thick black claddings around the wheel arches and the lower part of the body was giving it a rugged look.
Overall, the Baleno Cross or Baleno Crossover was looking neat. It must be noted that Maruti Suzuki currently has no plans to launch such a product in the market. We have seen in the past that such products actually do not perform well in Indian market. We had models like Volkswagen Polo Cross, Toyota Etios Liva Cross and even Hyundai i20 Active. Talking about the all-new Maruti Baleno, it comes with features like HUD, 360 degree camera, all-new touchscreen infotainment system that supports voice assistant feature. Maruti Suzuki is offering a maximum of 6 airbags which is a first for any Maruti car.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno is powered by a 1.2 litre DualJet petrol engine that generates 90 Ps and 113 Nm of peak torque. The car comes with Smart Hybrid system and the engine is offered with both manual and AMT gearbox option. The previous generation Baleno was offered with a CVT gearbox. AMT makes it a lot more affordable and also results in better fuel efficiency for Baleno.
