Skoda Octavia: 1 lakh sales up in India!

The Octavia was first introduced in the Indian market back in 2001.

Skoda has announced that it has sold over 1,01,111 units of the Octavia in India.

Skoda achieved the sales milestone in over two decades since the Octavia was first introduced in the Indian market back in 2001. The model was positioned in the premium mid-size sedan segment.

In 2005, Skoda launched the second generation, which was introduced as the Laura. It was sold alongside the first-gen Octavia until 2010. The vRS badge was first introduced in 2004.

In 2013, the Octavia returned in its third-generation avatar. Four years later, the facelift version went on sale in India. The fourth-generation Octavia was launched in 2021.

At present, the Octavia is offered with a single engine option. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol unit makes 187 BHP and 320 Nm. It is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
