The Virtus will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Chakan and come with localization content well above 93 per cent.

Volkswagen India today revealed the Virtus sedan in India. The global premiere of the car marked the entry of the company’s second product based on the MQB A0 IN platform. The Virtus sedan replaces the Vento but is much bigger in size. With the reveal, the company also has kick-started pre-bookings for the car. This strategy was used even with the Taigun, and it’s an apt one, as the company can them keep up with the demand, especially, since there are 2 turbo petrol engines on offer, each with manual and automatic transmission as also 6 colours to choose from.
