Maruti's Creta rivalling SUV to be revealed in July 2022

The Maruti Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are likely to go on sale in India around the festive season.
According to a media report, Maruti Suzuki will reveal its new mid-size SUV next month. It will share its underpinnings with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which is set to debut on July 1, 2022.
Marutiâs Creta-rivalling SUV is rumoured to be called the Vitara. It could also likely be exported to international markets.
The Vitara is said to be based on Suzukiâs Global-C platform. It is the same architecture that underpins the S-Cross and the Vitara Brezza.
Reports also suggest that the car will be powered by a K15C Dual-Jet petrol engine that is currently offered in the Ertiga and XL6. It could be offered in mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid (sourced from Toyota) guises. The latter is expected to get a CVT gearbox.
