Hyundai releases first TVC for Venue Facelift

Hyundai India recently launched the facelifted version of the Venue in the Indian market. The prices of the Venue Facelift start from Rs. 7.53 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 12.72 lakhs ex-showroom. The booking amount is set to Rs. 21,000 and some of the variants already have a waiting time of up to 16 weeks. Now, the manufacturer has launched the first TVC of the Venue Facelift.

The TVC starts with the person giving a voice command to Amazon Alexa to turn on the AC. These remote voice commands can be quite useful as the person can pre-cool or pre-heat the cabin. We get a close look at the new digital instrument cluster that is taken from the Kia Carens but has been tweaked for the Venue. The instrument cluster changes its theme according to the drive mode.

Another feature additions are two-step adjustable rear seat which is the first-in-segment feature. There is an air purifier, two USB Type-C slots for charging mobile devices, rear AC vents, a wireless phone charger, four-way electric adjustment for the driver seat and paddle shifters.

The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system has also been updated. It now gets a new theme and Sounds of Nature. There is also in-built navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 60+ connected car features from Bluelink, OTA updates and support for Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. There are also weather and sports updates.

The interior theme is also finished in black and beige which gives an airy feel to the cabin. There is a new D-cut multi-function steering wheel that is taken from the Creta. It also has controls for the cruise control.

Features on offer are a cooled glovebox, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking camera with dynamic guidelines, ambient lighting,  keyless entry, push-button to start/stop the engine, automatic climate control, puddle lamps, electric sunroof, electric adjustable and foldable outside rearview mirrors and much more.

The exterior has also been updated. It now gets updated front and rear bumper. There is a new parametric grille. The headlamps now use LED projectors instead of halogen ones. The LED Daytime Running Lamps are the same as the previous version. Hyundai did tweak the turn indicator housing though. On the sides, there is a new alloy wheel design. The rear has been heavily redesigned.  There are new split LED tail lamps that are connected by a light bar.

Mechanically, the compact SUV stays the same. So, there are three engine options. There are two petrol and a diesel. The diesel engine produces 100 Ps and 240 Nm. It is offered only with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Then there is a naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 83 PS and 113 Nm. It is offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Then there is the turbo petrol engine that produces 120 Ps and 172 Nm of peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed intelligent Manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. If you get the DCT gearbox then you also get paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
