Hyundai India has confirmed the arrival of the all-new Tucson in the Indian market. This will be the new-generation Tucson, which is already available in the market. Hyundai India has confirmed the arrival of the premium mid-size five-seater later this year. The Tucson will be the brand’s flagship SUV for the Indian market.

While Hyundai is yet to reveal specific details about the Indian-spec Tucson, the brand has revealed the India-spec car through images. The Tucson coming to India will be the long-wheelbase version but it will still offer only five seats. With the longer wheelbase, the new Tucson will offer much more space in the rear compared to the short wheelbase version that is available in the European market.

Hyundai has always been aggressive when it comes to alloy wheel designs and the new Tucson is no different. We can expect Hyundai to offer 18-inch wheels for the Indian market to ensure that the tyres are safe in domestic road conditions.

The Hyundai Tucson will also introduce the South Korean automotive giant’s “Sensual Sportiness” design language. It gets a plethora of sharp design angles and sharp lines all over. The most interesting part of the new design is the front grille.

The new parametric grille from the brand hides the DRLs when the car is turned off. The DRLs that are positioned on the grille itself glow as soon as the ignition turns on. It sure makes Tucson look very premium. The sides of the new Tucson get Z shape deep creases that add a sharp edge.

The rear of the new Hyundai Tucson also gets some futuristic design and is nothing like the previous-generation Tucson that was available in India.

Tucson to get new-age technology

The all-new Tucson will also introduce many new features from the brand in the Indian market. We may also get to see radar-based ADAS technology, which is currently available with many other cars on the market. The other changes include a new ‘BlueLink’ connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof and a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen.

In the international markets, Hyundai offers the new Tucson with multiple engine options. However, there is a diesel engine option. Since Hyundai has not ditched the diesel yet, we may get to see the new Tucson diesel engine in the Indian market. Hyundai will offer automatic transmission options with both fuel types.
