Before its official unveiling on 1st July, the Toyota Hyryder has already generated a lot of hype around it. People are looking forward to Toyota’s first attempt at cracking the code of the midsize urban SUV segment with the Hyryder. Recently, a spy shot of the Toyota Hyryder clicked during its advertorial shoot went viral. Based on that image, we have come across a few digital renderings By Rushlane of the exterior of the Toyota Hyryder in different colour options.

Apart from the red paint scheme seen in the spy shot of the Toyota Hyryder, the new SUV has been digitally rendered in different color options like white, silver, grey, orange, and blue. This rendering has been prepared by a designer named Pratuysh Raut, which also gives a hint of the possible exterior look of the new Hyryder.

Based on the latest design language pursued by Toyota for its global models, the new Toyota Hyryder also has got hints of the new Glanza hatchback. It is evident by the way the front of the SUV looks, with a slimmer-looking grille accentuated by thin chrome garnish just like in the Glanza.

The Hyryder’s rendering gets a split headlamp setup, with strips of daytime running LEDs above and main headlamps positioned lower on the front bumper. This detail has already been confirmed by the spy shots of the test mules of Hyryder which have been seen in recent months. It also gets honeycomb mesh for the large air dam on the front bumper.

Other exterior details of this rendering of the Toyota Hyryder include a silver-coloured skid plate on the front bumper, black-coloured plastic body cladding all around the lower part, rounded wheel arches, roof rails, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Hyryder’s visuals also have chrome detailing on the upper part of window frames and blacked-out door-mounted rear view mirrors and roof, the latter of which also gives the Hyryder a floating roof effect.

Based on Toyota’s TNGA-B platform used globally, the Toyota Hyryder will share its mechanical underpinnings and a few design bits in and out with the similarly-sized upcoming SUV from Maruti Suzuki. Both these SUVs will be available in two powertrain options.

First is the 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine, which makes 103 PS of power and 136.8 Nm of torque. It is the same engine that debuted in the refreshed Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and just like in the Ertiga, it will be available with 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission choices. In addition to this engine, the SUVs will also be offered with a niche hybrid powertrain, which will be based on a 1.5-litre petrol engine and might generate around 116 PS of maximum power.
