Work from home roles at Paytm: CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma asks people to join the company

New Delhi: Would you prefer working from the comfort of your homes or like to join the long queues with people gathered to board public transport just to reach their offices on time? The answer for the majority will most likely be the former and keeping this in mind, digital payments company Paytm has shared some of the roles at the company that are work from home.
Paytm’s CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, on Thursday, took to Twitter to detail the very perks of this new work model introduced amid the Covid-19 pandemic. He announced that his digital payments platform will allow employees in tech, business and product roles to work from home or any location of their preference.

At the same time, Sharma also asked people to join the “team that has revolutionised India’s payments for good.”

“We at Paytm allow you to work from home/anywhere for product, tech and business roles,” the Paytm chief tweeted and shared an animated clip which featured the contrast between the hectic routine of an office-going employee with the one working from home.

Companies are divided over whether to call back employees to the office or not. Recently, Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk ordered employees to return to the office. In the emails, the world’s richest person told his employees that working from home was no longer acceptable and everyone must clock in at least 40 hours in office.

“Anyone who wishes to do remote work must be in the office for a minimum (and I mean *minimum*) of 40 hours per week or depart Tesla. This is less than we ask of factory workers,” Musk’s mail read.

The veracity of the screenshots carrying the purported communication from the Tesla boss could not be established; however, Must replied to one such Twitter post, seemingly confirming the development.
