With Aadhaar becoming more prevalent in banking as well as other industries, queries and grievances related to Aadhaar and its services are also rising. To address the difficulties, UIDAI has established a multi-channel grievance resolution procedure for residents’ queries and grievances regarding Aadhaar enrolment, updation, and other services. Residents can contact UIDAI via phone, email, chat, or the web portal

Note that residents must maintain the EID/URN/SRN handy for a speedy resolution of complaints, according to UIDAI

The self-service IVRS and resident support executive-based assistance make up the UIDAI contact center and Toll-Free number is 1947. It offers assistance in the 12 following languages.

How to lodge Aadhaar-related grievance through IVRS Self Service

The following services are offered in self-service mode around-the-clock:

Residents can check their enrollment or update status

If Aadhaar is successfully generated, residents can use their EID to find out their Aadhaar number (Post validation)

By entering their complaint number, residents can monitor the status of their complaints.

How to lodge Aadhaar grievance using chatbot

On the UIDAI website (uidai.gov.in), there is a chatbot available for quick automated responses regarding Aadhaar and its services. It is accessible at the bottom right of the Resident portal and the main page of the UIDAI website. Using the blue “Ask Aadhaar” icon, residents can begin chatting with the chatbot. Both Hindi and English are supported.

How to lodge Aadhaar grievance using portal

On the UIDAI website, under the “File a complaint” area, residents can file complaints using the available scenarios. Individuals can file using this link- https://resident.uidai.gov.in/file-complaint

Enter all the required details, select type of complaint and submit.
