First teaser of Toyota HyRyder SUV – Hyundai Creta
[ad_1]
For the longest period of time, we have speculated that the Japanese and Indian auto giants Toyota Motor Corporation and Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) were eyeing to launch a Creta rival. But now with this first official teaser, it has been confirmed that two new players from these brands will be making their debut in the mid-size SUV segment. Recently Toyota India released the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV ahead of its global premiere on July 1, 2022.
This brand-new, over-four-meter midsize SUV will replace the existing, under-four-meter Urban Cruiser SUV. Bookings for the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder might begin as early as next month, according to dealer sources.

From the teaser that has been dropped by Toyota across all its platforms, we can observe that this is the Urban Cruiser Hyryder’s final design and it will be safe to say that it looks promising. The front of the Hyryder features a double tier of black piano-black finished grille and LED daytime running lights smoothly come together on the front. The grille also has a chrome divider extending from one corner to the other that separates the two tiers of the LED daytime running lights.
Moving on just below the wing mirror, a large “Hybrid” insignia indicates that the vehicle will have a full-hybrid engine option. With a towering air dam and broad full LED headlights around it, the front bumper also seems to have a powerful appearance. The teaser then shows more of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder SUV and observant viewers can note that it will come with a floating roof design and darkened A-pillars.
Additionally, the video at least for the pricier models verifies the existence of a 360-degree camera. The vehicle used in the teaser appears to be a “Nebula Blue” shade of paint that can be found on other Toyota SUVs sold abroad, such as the Corolla Cross. Furthermore, we can also see a partially visible rear design, which features two C-shaped LED parking lights and attractive taillamps that continue onto the upright-looking tailgate. The Toyota emblem is prominently displayed in the centre of the chrome strip, which seamlessly blends into the taillamps.
Moving on to drivetrain of the this SUV and the one that will be coming from MSIL in the forthcoming period, the new mid-size SUVs will both have mild and powerful hybrid engines, according to the makers. Toyota will provide the vehicle’s powerful hybrid system while Maruti will supply the mild hybrid system. The mild-hybrid system will be available in the base model of the SUV from both Maruti and Toyota, while the strong hybrid system will be available in the higher model variations.
Toyota’s second facility, located in Bidadi, Karnataka, will produce both SUVs. By the end of August, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and its Maruti equivalent are anticipated to be on sale. Both SUVs have been seen testing on our roads several times, and multiple render images of both SUVs are now online based on these spy photos. Maruti’s SUV and the Toyota Hyryder are both anticipated to feature different external styles. Both of these SUVs will be offered for sale in India and exported to other countries, including Africa.
