Anand Mahindra’s tweet says, “Bit by bit, we’re showing you our future…” Mahindra’s all-new electric SUV range will be revealed to the world in July this year. As mentioned above, Mahindra currently has no electric vehicle for private vehicle users and the upcoming electric vehicles would actually be a new chapter for the SUV maker. The video that Anand Mahindra shared online is also available on Mahindra Born Electric YouTube channel. The video shows the glimpses of the interior of one of the electric SUV concept that will be showcased to us in coming months. The tweet also hints that in coming days or weeks, we can expect more of such teaser videos from the manufacturer.
Mahindra had released another teaser image and video for the three electric SUV. All three models are differentiated using LED DRLs. One of the electric SUV that is likely to be unveiled is the electric version of XUV300 SUV. The SUV was recently spotted testing under heavy camouflage. In comparison to the petrol or diesel engine version, the electric version of XUV300 is likely to get some cosmetic changes and look a lot more sharper. The SUVs would come with C-shaped LED DRLs and LED tail lamps. LED lights are different on each SUVs. There will be an SUV smaller than the XUV300 electric and the other would be bigger than the XUV300 electric.

The bigger SUV is expected to be an electric version of the Mahindra XUV700. It is likely to be called Mahindra e-XUV900 – a coupe styled electric version of the XUV700. As of now, it is not clear interiors from which SUV is shown in the video. Mahindra currently has plans to invest around Rs 3,000 crore for electric vehicles. Mahindra will convert 4 of its existing Internal Combustion engine SUVs to electric. Other than this, the manufacturer will also be working on all-new 4 electric model for India. Currently the focus is on the first three models that will be unveiled in July.
Mahindra XUV 300 electric or Mahindra XUV400 as some people are calling it will compete with the best seller Tata Nexon EV in the segment. It will also compete with electric SUV like MG ZS EV as well. Mahindra is expected to offer a 40 kWh battery pack which will generate approximately 130 Bhp. The SUV is expected to offer a driving range of approximately 300 kms or more. It won’t be wrong to say that Mahindra will be pricing the electric vehicles quite competitively in the market
