Electric cars are the future of mobility and there is no doubt about it. In India, Tata Nexon EV is the most popular electric SUV followed by MG ZS EV and other models. These two electric SUVs are most commonly spotted on our roads and are doing pretty well in terms of sales as well. Here we have a comparison video where Nexon EV and MG ZS EV owner drive each other’s vehicle and talk about things that are better and could be improved in each vehicle.

The video has been uploaded by MotorByte on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger speaks to the owners of both Tata Nexon EV and MG ZS EV. He asks about the overall experience with the electric vehicle before taking the cars out for a drive. Tata Nexon EV owner had bought the SUV two years ago and he has completed almost 50,000 km in his SUV. He has a daily run of around 90 km. The MG ZS EV is owned by a Doctor and the car is almost 10 months old. He has covered around 20,000 km on this SUV.

Nexon EV owner mentions that he has seen the charging infrastructure develop in Delhi NCR and is now confident of taking the car on road trips. He has installed a subsidised meter for charging the Nexon EV and he assumes that he would have saved almost Rs 2 lakh by using an EV. The MG ZS EV owner does not use a subsidised meter for charging the MG ZS and appreciates the effort made by several private players and government to improve the charging infrastructure. The monthly electricity bill for charging the Nexon EV is around Rs 1,500 to Rs 1,600 while the MG ZS EV is slightly more than that. Both the customers are happy with the vehicle and are using it on a daily basis.

First, MG ZS EV owner drives the Nexon EV. As soon as he sits in, he mentions that the seats are more comfortable in Nexon EV. He mentions that the MG ZS EV offers less under thigh support. He speaks about the plastic quality on the dashboard and door panels and mentions that they are all ok for the price at which it is being offered. He feels that the steering on Nexon EV is a lot more lighter than MG ZS EV and it does not weigh up depending up on the drive mode. There is a small lag when you press the accelerator in Drive Mode. The throttle response becomes a lot more crisp in the Sport Mode.

In the next part, Nexon EV driver sits in the MG ZS EV and talks about how different the car feels to drive from Nexon EV. He mentions that the car feels exactly the same in Normal mode as Nexon EV in Drive mode; He felt that the leather upholstery on seats and the dashboard give it a premium feel. The car definitely feels premium and is worth the money. The Nexon EV owner mentions that ZS EV gets a bigger battery and motor which also justifies the higher price tag. He also mentions that the seat do not offer good support and the IRVM is blocking the view at times. The Regenerative braking on MG ZS EV is better than Nexon EV and the modes really make a difference.
