We all know that Royal Enfield is currently working on a variety of motorcycles. In the past, we have seen several spy pictures and videos of these motorcycles getting tested in India and abroad. One of the recent pictures to surface online is of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 motorcycle. A test mule was spotted testing abroad. It looks like Royal Enfield is extensively testing the upcoming motorcycle. Earlier this year, the same motorcycle was spotted testing in India as well.
In the new spy pictures, the front, side profile and the rear of the motorcycle is clearly visible. The test mule is all finished in black but, some of the details are clearly visible. The motorcycle gets a round headlamps which is common to all Royal Enfield motorcycles. A small cowl can be seen around the headlamp as well. Just like many modern Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Shotgun 650 would also get a round analog instrument cluster with digital meter showing essential information. A Tripper Navigation meter can also be seen right next to it.

On both sides of the headlamp are the orange coloured retro looking turn indicators. The front gets USD forks and the fender covering the front wheel is also visible here. The 650-cc bobber styled motorcycle from Royal Enfield is likely to get 19 inch wheels at the front and 16 inch at the rear. The 5-spoke alloy wheels carry a different design when compared to other motorcycles from the manufacturer. The fuel tank carries a tear drop design but, it is different from the ones that are seen on the other Royal Enfield models. It does not look as bulky as it does in Classic 350 or Meteor 350.
This is a single seater bobber styled motorcycle and that is clearly visible in the pictures. The motorcycle will offer an upright riding position to the rider. the seat is places low and the foot pegs are centre-set. The engine area on the test mule has been completely blacked out but, it is still recognisable. The 650-cc engine used in the Shotgun 650 is the same as seen in Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
The side panels and rear mudguard are also visible in the pictures. The rear mudguard does cover the chunky rear wheel completely. The rear turn indicators and the round retro styled tail lamps are also placed on the mudguard. The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 would come with twin exhaust setup and it is clearly visible in the images. Royal Enfield might be selling it in the international markets as well.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be powered by a 648-cc, parallel-twin engine that generates 47 bhp and 52 Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox. As mentioned above, the test mules look like a near production-ready model and it is expected to be launched in the market later this year. The expected price of the Royal Enfield Shotgun motorcycle is around Rs 3 lakh, ex-showroom. Royal Enfield is also working on other models like a Super Meteor, Classic 650, Himalayan 450 and so on.
