Here is a look at all the important car launches expected to take place in June 2022.
Citroen C3
The Citroen C3 will be the brand’s second product offering in the Indian market. While the French car brand hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date, dealerships are said to have started accepting unofficial bookings for the SUV.
The C3 is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which could come with either a 5-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It will take on the likes of the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger & Nissan Magnite.
Hyundai Venue facelift
Hyundai has confirmed the launch of the Venue facelift on June 16.
The updated crossover from the Korean car brand is said to receive a host of cosmetic changes on the inside and outside, along with a host of new features and technology. It will, however, carry forward the same set of engine and transmission options as the outgoing model.
Mahindra Scorpio-N
Mahindra has announced that production of the new Scorpio-N will commence this month, with the price announcement scheduled to take place on June 27.
The Scorpio-N features a completely new front fascia, while retaining its macho looks. It has a wide radiator grille with the brand’s signature chrome elements and dual-pod LED headlamps on either side. At the rear, the Scorpio-N gets a side-hinged tailgate and Volvo-inspired tail lamp clusters.
The new SUV will be offered in a range of petrol and diesel engine options, with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. It will also get a 4×4 option.
New-gen Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Maruti Suzuki will be launching the new-gen Vitara Brezza in the Indian market on June 30. The crossover will come with a host of changes in terms of design, interior cabin layout, features and technology.
The updated Brezza will be powered by a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, which is expected to come paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Volkswagen Virtus
Volkswagen has announced the launch date for the Virtus sedan. The carmaker will reveal the prices for the mid-size sedan on June 9, 2022.
The Volkswagen Virtus is based on the MQB-A0-IN platform. It is available in two trims – Dynamic Line and Performance Line. The Virtus will be available with two engine options. These include a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 113 BHP and 175 Nm and a 1.5-litre TSI engine that puts out 148 BHP and 250 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed DSG.
2022 Audi A8 L
Audi has opened the order books for the 2022 A8 L. Customers can book the car by paying an initial booking amount of Rs. 10,00,000. However, the company is yet to announce the exact launch date of the car.
In India, the new A8 L will be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 48 V mild-hybrid system. It produces 335 BHP and 500 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Quattro all-wheel drive system.
Kia EV6
Kia has launched the EV6 electric crossover in India. The car is priced from Rs. 59.95 – 64.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
The EV6 comes with a permanent magnet synchronous motor and a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that is said to offer a maximum range of 528 km (WLTP cycle). The battery supports ultra-fast charging, which adds 100 km of range in 4.5 minutes. It can be recharged from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger, while a 50 kW fast charger takes 73 minutes.
