New 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga bookings open: Finally a 6-speed AT from Maruti!

Maruti Suzuki today announced the commencement of bookings for the new 2022 Maruti Ertiga. The next-gen Ertiga can be pre-booked with an initial payment of INR 11,000 at the Maruti Suzuki ARENA showrooms in India. Also, one can book the new Ertiga online by visiting the Maruti’s official website. The official launch of the updated Ertiga is expected in the later part of this month.
Powering the 2022 Maruti Ertiga is a 1.5-litre K-series Dual Jet VVT engine with Smart Hybrid Technology that will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Paddle Shifters. The next-gen Ertiga also gets a host of new features, slightly revised design and better fuel-efficiency. The highlight in the powertrain area is the launch of a six-speed automatic transmission. Up till now the company was using a four-speed torque converter, which was living its life beyond time. The new gearbox should enhance the Ertiga’s competitiveness and will also make its way soon into other Maruti Suzuki vehicles.
Talking about the 2022 Maruti Ertiga interior, it comes equipped with a 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system and Suzuki Connect technology. Additionally, the next-gen Ertiga S-CNG will be available in the ZXI variant.
