motilal oswal: Motilal Oswal joins hands with Kolkata-based broker Kripa Securities

(MOFSL) has inked a strategic arrangement with Kolkata-based broker Kripa Securities to offer investment solutions and equity, currency, and commodities trading platform to the latter’s retail customers.

With this tie-up, Kripa Securities now plans to expand its footprint in cities like Durgapur, and Siliguri in West Bengal as well as in northeast states, director at the firm Ajay Sureka told ET.

It has around 5000 customers at present spreading across Kolkata and Bardhaman and all of them have migrated to Motilal Oswal’s trading platform, Sureka said.

MOFSL’s associate director and head for business alliances, Gaurav Manihar said that his firm looks to ramp up its partnership-focused business model in this fiscal.

It has partnerships with 20 brokers across India with around 4000 franchisees at present.

MOFSL also acquired as many as seven businesses/clients (through business transfer) in the past three years and added close to one lakh clients.
