Mahindra to launch Bolero Neo Plus soon in Indian market: Specs leaked
[ad_1]
Mahindra will be reintroducing the TUV300 Plus in the Indian market soon. They will be renaming it “Bolero Neo Plus”. The TUV300 Plus was discontinued back in 2020 when the BS6 emission norms kicked in. Now, the spy shots and homologation documents of the upcoming SUV have been leaked online. We expect Mahindra to launch the Bolero Neo Plus before the end of this year.
Bolero Neo Plus will be offered with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that belongs to the mHawk family of Mahindra’s engines. As of now, it is not known whether it is the same 2.2-litre unit from the Scorpio or from the XUV700 and the Thar. Having said that, it is highly possible that the engine will be from the current Scorpio. The document does not state how many gears will the SUV have. We expect it to have a 5-speed manual gearbox.
There will be two drive modes on offer as per the document. There is Power mode and Economy mode. In Power mode, the engine produces 120 Ps and in Economy mode, the engine produces 95 PS. The document does not specify the torque outputs.

Seating configuration
Mahindra will continue to offer the Bolero Neo Plus in two seating configurations. There will be a 7-seater configuration and a 9-seater configuration. The 7-seater version will get front-facing seats for the third row and the 9-seater versions will come with jump seats just like we have seen on the Bolero Neo. There will be two seats in the front row and three seats in the second row which essentially means a bench seat.
Variants
Mahindra will offer the Bolero Neo Plus in six variants. There is P4 which will be offered only as a 7-seater and then there is P10 which will be offered in multiple variants. Moreover, there will be an ambulance version of the SUV.
Design
The Bolero Neo Plus has received the same updates that were given to Bolero Neo when they renamed TUV300. So, there is a new grille and bumper design in the front. The headlamps and bonnet have also been redesigned. There will also be LED Daytime Running Lamps on offer. At the rear, the bumper and the tail lamps will be slightly altered. The interior will also see the same updates as the Bolero Neo. So, there could be the instrument cluster from the Mahindra Thar, cruise control, new upholstery design
Dimensions
Bolero Neo Plus measures 4,400 mm in length, 1,795 mm in width and a height of 1,812 mm. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,680 mm. When compared the Bolero Neo has a length of 3,995 mm, width of 1,795 mm and height of 1,817 mm. The wheelbase measures 2,680 mm. So, as we can see the only major difference is the increased length.
Mahindra’s next launch
Mahindra’s next big launch for the Indian market is going to be the Scorpio N. It will sit between the Thar and the XUV700. The Scorpio N is the new generation but the manufacturer will not be discontinuing the current Scorpio. Instead, they will rebrand it and call it Scorpio Classic.
