Kia EV6 electric crossover to be launched on June 2

The Kia EV6 will be imported in limited numbers as a completely built unit (CBU).

Kia will announce the prices for the EV6 electric crossover in India on June 2, 2022. Bookings are set to open on May 26.

The Kia EV6 will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU). For 2022, the company has allotted 100 units for India.

The Kia EV6 could be offered in both single and dual-motor variants. The single motor RWD variant packs 225 BHP and 350 Nm, while the AWD version offers 321 BHP and 605 Nm. Kia claims the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.

In India, the EV6 is likely to be offered with a single 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a maximum range of 528 km (WLTP cycle). The battery supports ultra-fast charging which adds 100 km of range in just 4.5 minutes. It can be recharged from 10%-80% in 18 minutes using a 350 kW fast charger, while a 50 kW fast charger takes 73 minutes.
