Enthusiasts have a different craze when it comes to Swift Sport. However, even after all these years, Maruti Suzuki never brought the Swift Sport to our country despite being spotted a number of times on our Indian roads. But, have you ever thought about what will a Suzuki Swift Sport on steroids will look like? Suzuki recently introduced the new Vision Gran Turismo Concept. It is important to note that the Vision GT will not enter production. It will be used for Sony Playstation’s latest iteration of the Gran Turismo 7 video game. You will be able to use the new vehicle if you have the May 2022 1.15 update of the Gran Turismo 7 game.
“The Suzuki Vision Gran Turismo is a VGT that brings back the legendary GSX-R/4 with the latest tech as an all-wheel-drive super-sport overflowing with the sporting mindset of the brand. We hope you enjoy the world of pure sport as presented by Suzuki.”
The manufacturer has released detailed images of the concept. You would be able to see subtle hints of Swift’s design in the Vision Gran Turismo concept. The vehicle is designed as a roadster instead of a hatchback. It gets up-swept LED headlamps and the bumper is the same one as the Swift Sport.
The yellow paint scheme is also taken straight up from the Swift Sport. On the sides, there are huge diamond-cut alloy wheels. At the rear, there are LED tail lamps and twin exhausts. The rear diffuser is quite large because of which the boot looks quite small. There is also a roll cage that will protect the occupants in case the vehicle rolls over.

We can also see the interior of the concept. It gets a yoke steering wheel which we have seen on Tesla Model S Plaid. It has various buttons placed on it so that the driver does not need to remove his hands while driving.
There are two screens on the outside, they are fed direct footage from the cameras mounted instead of outside rearview mirrors. The gear selector is just three buttons placed on the central console. There is no instrument cluster, instead, you get a heads-up display. It also has bucket seats that will hold occupants in place when the driver is driving enthusiastically. There is also a frameless windshield that really enhances the look of the car.
The manufacturer has also revealed the specs of the Vision Gran Turismo. It is powered by the same engine as the mighty Suzuki Hayabusa. So, it is a 1340 cc, inline 4-cylinder engine. It puts out 190 Ps of max power to the rear wheels.
Then there are three electric motors which increase the power output to 432 hp at 9,700 rpm and peak torque output stands at 610 Nm. With a kerb weight of just 970 kg, it is needless to say that the concept should be able to hit triple-digit speeds very easily.
