India-spec Honda City Hybrid specs, variants leaked

The City Hybrid is likely to be offered in two variants – V and ZX. The top-spec ZX trim will get Honda Sensing active safety features.

Honda is gearing up to debut the City Hybrid in the Indian market on April 14, 2022. Now, a Type Approval certificate has shed some light on the technical specifications and variant details prior to the official announcement.

As per the document, the City Hybrid measures 4,549 mm in length, 1,748 mm in width, 1,489 mm in height and its wheelbase is 2,600 mm. The car is likely to be offered in two variants ‘V’ with a GVW of 1,636 kg and ‘ZX’ with a GVW of 1,655 kg.

The City Hybrid will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 97 BHP @ 5,600-6,400 rpm. It is paired with an AC synchronous motor that has an output of 107 BHP @ 3,500 rpm. The car comes with a 0.734 kWh lithium-ion battery that weighs 14.5 kg.

The top-spec City ZX e:HEV is expected to come equipped with Honda Sensing features like lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, auto high beam assist, emergency braking and a front collision warning system.
