Summers have started in most parts of the country and up in North, snow have slowly started melting away. Tourists from different parts of the country are now rushing to the mountains to see the final snowfall of the year. Many YouTubers are also included in this and there are several videos of the same available online. Here we have a video, where a Toyota Fortuner 4×2, Mahindra Thar and a heavily modified Ford Endeavour go on a road trip to explore the mountains and in search of snow. See how the cops reacted to modified Ford Endeavour in the mountains
The video has been uploaded by ASHWIN SINGH TAKIAR on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger and his friends are on a road trip to mountains. The video talks about the challenges and the way how each SUV behave on the mountain roads. The vlogger and his friends were travelling in three SUVs. They had a heavily modified Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Thar and a Toyota Fortuner 4×2 SUV. When the video starts, the vlogger was already in the mountains but, there was no snow.

The group then started moving to find snow and on their way the group came across a police checkpost. Surprisingly, the cops on duty did not stop the heavily modified but, the Mahindra Thar. The modification on Ford Endeavour was a lot more intimidating when compared to Thar. The cops stopped and asked the driver to remove the auxiliary lamps as they create problems for other road users. The cops also asked them to remove the films that were stuck on to the windshield. The windshield films were then removed and the auxiliary lamps were covered with cloth.
The other SUVs in the group were waiting for the Thar in front. The cops did not put a fine on the SUV but, warned the driver to make sure that they do not use these lights on road. After the Thar driver came and explained the situation to vlogger, he took off the windshield films from his Endeavour and covered the auxiliary lamps. The group then moved ahead and soo then started spotting snow side of the road. The SUVs were performing well on the SUV but, soon they were driving on roads with slush ice. Mahindra Thar was performing well and so was the Ford Endeavour. Both the SUVs were modified for off-roading and that was helping them in this situation. The Toyota Fortuner however was not doing well. the 2WD SUV was loosing traction at places. The SUV even started showing a notification on the instrument cluster after it was driven on the snow.
The video shows why it is important to drive a 4WD SUV on such terrains. Chances of a 2WD SUV loosing control on ice is more than that of a 4WD. A 4WD SUV will send power to all the wheels which would help it move forward without loosing traction. The tyres also play a crucial role in such situations. It looks like the Fortuner was using Highway terrain tyres. All-terrain Tyres is a basic requirement while driving in such conditions.
