Honda City Hybrid starts reaching dealerships ahead of launch

Honda has started dispatching the City e:HEV to dealerships across India. The car will go on sale in May 2022.
The City Hybrid will be offered in the top-spec ZX trim. The car looks identical to the regular City, albeit with a few changes. The front and rear bumpers are different, and the Honda logo has a blue halo effect. The car also gets a boot lip spoiler.
Inside, the City Hybrid will come equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The car also gets a sunroof and Honda Sensing tech that includes driver assistance features like Lane Keep Assist, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control and Auto High Beam. All four disc brakes and 6 airbags will also be standard on this variant.
Powering the City Hybrid is a 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with two electric motors, offering a combined output of 124 BHP and 253 Nm. The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and comes with three drive modes – EV, Hybrid and Petrol. Honda claims a fuel economy figure of 26.5 km/l.
