Explained: Different types of inverter technologies used in air conditioners

[ad_1]

The usage of air conditioners has increased in most households as an extreme heatwave sweeps across the Indian sub-continent. The increase in usage of air conditioners has popularised the inverter air conditioners as they are an energy-efficient option and even save on electricity bills. Several manufacturers use different inverter technologies in their products. These manufacturers introduce small changes in their inverter technologies to bring innovation and to stay ahead in the market. These innovations and changes have allowed multiple inverter technologies to co-exist and are used in different products that are available in the market. Users need to be aware of these inverter technologies used in ACs to consider the best one before buying a new product. Here we will discuss the various inverter AC technologies that are available for users.
Dual or twin inverter AC technology
Dual or twin inverter AC technology uses two rotors to achieve a compression effect. The outdoor units of the ACs that use this technology help in further reducing the noise of the compressor operation. This technology is used by brands like — LG, Blue Star, Godrej, etc. This technology delivers stable, efficient and low vibration compression as both the rotors are placed at a phase difference of 180 degrees celsius. These inverter ACs are capable to run at a very slow speed to save power and can also run at an extra high speed for faster cooling as they are capable of varying speed by an additional 10-20 per cent.
Triple inverter AC technology
The triple inverter AC technology doesn’t use multiple rotors like the twin inverter compressors. Instead, the triple inverter ACs are powered by more advanced Digital 8 pole motors compressors that are designed to offer faster cooling and energy efficiency. This technology ensures efficient operation as these inverter compressors produce less torque fluctuation. The low torque fluctuation can also increase the life of both the compressor and the condenser. This technology is used by Samsung which also produces lower vibration and noise.
Intellisense inverter AC technology
The compressor operation in this technology used by Whirlpool is adjusted depending upon the temperature and humidity. The outdoor and the indoor units in these ACs can communicate with each other by using a built-in smart intuitive logic chip. Both the units communicate between themselves to adjust and adapt the AC operation based on the humidity levels.
Two-Stage steady cool compressor AC technology
Refrigerants in two-stage steady cool compressors used by Voltas are compressed in two stages. In the case of low-temperature refrigeration and if the evaporator and compressor have pressure levels, a two-stage compressor can turn out to be an energy-efficient method. These compressors can even operate in a wider range of temperatures.
Flexicool HybridJet inverter AC technology
The airflow design of the condenser is modified in this technology to offer fresh and cool air. Moreover. refrigerant is used for the separate cooling arrangement for PCB in this technology introduced by Carrier. This technology also helps in enhancing the life and efficiency of the system as the inverter compressor remains cooler than the conventional compressor with this technology.
Expandable inverter AC technology
The expandable inverter AC technology can increase the capacity of the system when users need extra cooling. This inverter AC technology is used mainlyu by Hitachi and is designed to provide extra cooling as their name suggests. The technology turns out to be quite useful when an extra load is needed for high indoor or outdoor temperatures.
