Dentsu India's Mumbai office raided by Income Tax department | Advertising

The Mumbai office of dentsu International was raided by the income tax department on 5 July. The agency hasn’t responded to Campaign India’s query about the development.
According to sources, a client of dentsu was first raided by the IT department, following which associates were also questioned.
This follows dentsu bagging the global agency of the year title at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Over the last year, dentsu has seen several high-profile exits, the last of which was its chief client officer, Narayan Devanathan. Other exits included, Sidharth Rao, CEO, dentsuMB Group India, Titus Upputuru (NCD, Taproot dentsu), Ayesha Ghosh (CEO, Taproot dentsu), PG Aditiya (CCO, dentsu Webchutney), Gautam Reghunath, (CEO, dentsu Webchutney), Haresh Nayak (president, and MD, Posterscope), Shamsuddin Jasani (MD – South Asia, Isobar), Anand Bhadkamkar (CEO, dentsu India), Gautam Mehra (chief data and product officer, Apac); Rubeena Singh (CEO, iProspect); and Vivek Bhargava (head of Dentsu Performance Group).
