“Building Dreams, Shaping Futures: MHADA’s Vision for Inclusive Housing in Maharashtra”

MHADA is working to improve the housing situation in Maharashtra by following a clear vision and strong values. As a main housing agency of the state, MHADA has led the way in providing affordable homes to people across Maharashtra. Its goal is to give safe, good-quality, and long-lasting homes to those who need them most. MHADA doesn’t just build houses—it helps people achieve their dream of having a “Sweet Home,” filled with hope and dignity. Through its Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board, MHADA repairs and rebuilds over 16,000 old and damaged buildings in the city, making sure residents have safe places to live. It also leads special projects in areas like Chandrapur, Solapur, and Dharavi, helping improve the quality of life for many people and supporting better cities for the future.

The “Book My Home” webpage is launched by the MHADA Konkan Board to sell 13,395 unsold apartments in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area.Through the “Book My Home” site, the Konkan Housing and Area Development Board (KHADB), a division of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), opened an online application procedure on Wednesday for the sale of 13,395 unsold apartments in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

In the past, candidates under the FCFS plan had no say in which apartment they would be assigned. The “Book My Home” portal allows candidates to view available apartments in real time and choose the floor and unit that best suits their eligibility. According to Revati Gaikar, Chief Officer of KHADB, “The portal also provides complete information at the scheme and flat level, allowing consumers to make informed judgments.”

From registration until selecting a flat, the entire process is done online; no physical interaction is involved. At the time of registration, candidates must upload scanned copies of their self-declaration, PAN card, and Aadhaar card.
