A few years ago, he launched a car for ‘every Indian,’ priced at Rs. 1 lakh. For more reasons than one, the Tata Nano was a game-changer for India. Even though Tata stopped manufacturing the car, it looks like the car still holds a special place in Ratan Tata’s heart.

The video shared by Viral Bhayani shows Ratan Tata arriving at the Taj Hotel in his beloved Nano. Tata arrived at the hotel without any security guards. He was seen leaving the venue in the same car while sitting in the front seat with his driver.

His simplicity is winning hearts as people shower the man with compliments.

While some called him a “Legend for a reason,” many pointed out how he is one of the most down-to-earth successful people they have ever come across.

Ratan Tata’s Nano is special for Ratan Tata, and another proof came in the form of an elaborate post he shared on Instagram a few days ago.

In his post, he shared how the car was “meant for all our people.” His post was accompanied by a picture from the car’s launch event.

Ratan Tata wrote: “Share the real reason behind launching Nano with us.”

“What really motivated me, and sparked a desire to produce such a vehicle, was constantly seeing Indian families on scooters, maybe the child sandwiched between the mother and father, riding to wherever they were going, often on slippery roads.” One of the benefits of being in the School of Architecture was that it taught me to doodle when I was free. At first, we were trying to figure out how to make two-wheelers safer. The doodles became four wheels, with no windows, no doors, just a basic dune buggy. But I finally decided it should be a car. The Nano was always meant for all our people. “

Tata Motors officially launched the Nano on January 10, 2008. However, for multiple reasons, including a decrease in sales, the company stopped manufacturing Nano a decade later, in 2018.
