Ola S1 Pro’s front suspension breaks while riding

It seems like the nightmares for Ola Electric are not going to stop anytime soon. Just a few days after the news of an S1 Pro catching fire in Pune broke out, here’s another recent event that might be a huge turn off for the potential buyers of the electric scooter. In a recent turn of events, a picture of an Ola S1 Pro parked on the side of a road with its front suspension and wheel detached is doing rounds on the internet.

While many details of the exact location and reason for this unfortunate event are unclear, the picture reveals a blue-coloured Ola S1 Pro with its front suspension and wheel detached from the scooter. This damaged S1 Pro is parked on the side of the road.

The actual reason behind this glitch is yet to reveal. However, there are two possibilities surrounding this event. While some are saying that the scooter faced a head-on collision with a rock, which led to the frontal part being damaged completely, another reason states that the frontal part of the scooter broke on its own while the owner of the scooter was riding it in a busy road. Both Ola Electric and the scooter owner are yet to give their official statements regarding this incident.

While the frontal part of the scooter looks badly damaged, it is nothing beyond repair and needs just a significant repairing job. However, if the scooter breaking out on its own is the actual reason, it will raise many questions about the S1 Pro, which is already plagued with several build quality and technical issues.

The Ola S1 Pro has already received a lot of flak in recent times for its below-average build quality. Several owners of the scooter, who have bought it, have complained about the low-quality body panels, inconsistent fit and finish levels and software glitches. Some owners even received their scooters with broken body panels, which is one of the worst delivery experiences a customer can face while buying a new vehicle.

It is not the inconsistent build quality issues that are raising people’s eyebrows over the Ola S1 Pro. The electric scooter recently came in news for technical glitches as well. An Ola S1 Pro automatically caught fire while parked on the roadside in Pune, which resulted in the scooter burning in the ashes in no time. In another incident, an S1 Pro owner recorded and posted a video of his scooter going out automatically in the reverse mode at a dangerously high speed.

Giving his clarification on the technical glitches reported around the Ola S1 Pro, Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, said that vehicle safety holds paramount importance at Ola, and the company is committed to serving high-quality standards in its products. He also assured that the company is taking such incidents seriously, which was also confirmed by the official Twitter handle of Ola Electric when the fire incident in Pune happened. However, not much progress has happened in the matter since then.
