Maruti Suzuki India has launched the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 in India, at a starting price of ₹ 11.29 lakh, going up to ₹ 14.55 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available in three variants, the 2022 XL6 features cosmetic updates to the exterior, features upgrades on the inside, and employs a new petrol engine under the hood, coupled with a new gearbox and paddle shifters. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift is the premium 6-seater sibling of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which was also refreshed recently. As far as competition goes, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 takes on the Kia Carens, Renault Triber, Mahindra Marazzo, and even the Toyota Innova Crysta, in the Indian MPV segment.

Based on NEXA’s new design language “CRAFTED FUTURISM”, the All-New XL6 has a refreshed design, and advanced features and is powered by a Next-Generation powertrain with an all-new 6-speed automatic transmission. I am confident that our NEXA customers will appreciate the All-New XL6.”
With the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6, the company has updated the exterior design slightly, making it the second model after the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno to follow Nexa’s ‘Crafted Futurism’ design language, to make it more appealing and premium than before. And so, at the front, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 now features a revised grille surrounded by chrome garnish, and a fresh design for the headlamps with LED treatment.
In profile, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 sits on a new pair of 16-inch alloy wheels. The B and C Pillar feature a gloss black finish, as well as a fender side garnish with chrome highlights. Moving to the back, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 retains most of the elements from earlier, except the revised rear bumper, and tail lamps with a 3D effect. Maruti is offering the refreshed XL6 with a total of six single-tone colours- Nexa Blue, Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, Brave Khakhi, and Opulent Red, and three new dual-tone colours- Splendid Silver with Black Roof, Brave Khakhi with Black Roof and Opulent Red with Black Roof.
The updates on the inside of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 are more vital. First and foremost is the addition of ventilated seats, a first for Maruti cars. Another prominent upgrade is the introduction of Maruti’s new 7-inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system, with Suzuki Connect offering over 40+ features.
There’s also the introduction of a 360-degree parking camera system, Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto, and wireless charging. Apart from this, the 2022 XL6 retains most of the features from the outgoing model. Maruti has also added telescopic adjustment to the steering now, as well as provided soft-touch materials for the armrest.
As far as safety features are concerned, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 receives four airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, reverse parking sensors, a second-row child Isofix seat, which comes as a standard fitment, as well a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). A few more active and passive safety features are included with the NEXA Safety Shield.
The heart of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 also receives a major upgrade, and now features a new 1.5-litre, K15C series, dual jet, dual VVT petrol engine coupled with Maruti’s smart hybrid tech. This unit can produce 103 bhp @6,000 rpm and 136.8 Nm @4,400 rpm and is paired with a new 6-speed torque converter with paddle shifters.

A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard. Maruti claims the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 returns a fuel efficiency of 20.97 kmpl with the manual version and 20.27 kmpl with the automatic version.
