2022 Maruti Brezza walkaround video leaked ahead of launch

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch the new generation of Brezza in the Indian market. The bookings for the compact SUV have already opened and the manufacturer will launch the 2022 Brezza on June 30th. Now, a walkaround video of the 2022 Brezza has surfaced online. Moreover, we also now know the variant details and the colour options that the Brezza will be available in.

The video is of a walkaround of the Brezza. We can see the exterior as well as the interior. The overall design has been revised but some of the key elements have been retained. For instance, the 2022 Brezza still has a boxy design and a flat bonnet but the bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps are all-new.

Up-front there is a new grille and a sleek pair of headlamps that use a twin-pod LED projector setup along with LED Daytime Running Lamps. On the sides, there are newly designed diamond-cut alloy wheels and black plastic cladding. The Brezza in the video is finished in a simple white colour with a blacked-out C-pillar that gives a floating roof effect. At the rear, there there are new slim LED tail lamps and the bumper is also new.

On the tailgate, “Brezza” is spelt out. The manufacturer will no longer use the “Vitara” moniker for the Brezza because they are keeping it for the upcoming mid-size SUV. So, the upcoming compact SUV will be simply called Brezza.

In the video, we can also see the interior of the 2022 Brezza. There is a new dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is a new steering wheel that has a flat bottom and is a multi-function unit. The instrument cluster is also new. It has got two analogue dials and a multi-information display in the centre.

Maruti Suzuki has also increased the equipment level of the Brezza so that it can compete better against its rivals. It will now come with an electric sunroof, heads-up display, 6 airbags and a 360-degree parking camera. We are also expecting new connected car features that we saw on the Baleno.

Variants

Maruti Suzuki will offer the 2022 Brezza in four variants. There will be LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The automatic transmission would be offered on the VXi, ZXi and ZXi+.

Colour options

2022 Brezza will be offered in 6 mono-tone and 3 dual-tone colours. The mono-tone colours are Metallic Magma Grey, Exuberant Blue, Prime Splendid Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Sizzling Red and Pearl Brave Khaki. The dual-tone colours on offer will be White and Khaki Brave, Sizzling Red and Black and Black and Splendid Silver.

Engine and gearbox

The engine will be taken from the XL6. It will be a 1.5-litre K12C DualJet unit that produces 103 Ps of max power and 137 Nm of peak torque. It will be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
