2022 Mahindra Scorpio N new teaser shows Highest Commanding seats

Mahindra has scheduled to launch the most-anticipated ScorpioN on 27th June 2022. Meanwhile, the manufacturer is revealing the details of the upcoming car bit by bit via short teasers. The new SUV will sport a series of feature updates. The company has specified that the current generation Scorpio will be known as Scorpio Classic.
Mahindra is calling the new ScorpioN as the Big Daddy of SUVs and has been releasing new teasers. Now, Mahindra has dropped yet another teaser of the upcoming 2022 Scorpio today.
2022 Mahindra Scorpio N
The 2022 Mahindra ScorpioN will be entering production later this month when dealership training will also start. The new Mahindra Scorpio will be big in terms of exterior and interior. The new teaser shows the company will be offering highest command seating with the 2022 Scorpio N.
The ScorpioN is built on a body-on-frame platform and has been upgraded in terms of design update in a bigger, more rugged and premium stance. It will come in with 6 and 7 seater options. The 2022 Mahindra ScorpioN has been confirmed to feature LED headlamps and fog lamps with chrome garnish, a honeycomb 6 slat grille, new Twin Peaks logo, extensive wheel arches with brushed aluminum accents and a brushed silver finished skid plate. It will also pack 18 inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Things have also been upgraded within the cabin, giving the new ScorpioN a more premium feel with a long list of features. It will be seen with a sunroof, an AdrenoX-powered touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car features, automatic climate controls and a Sony sound system with speakers on the dashboard, doors and roof. Features will also extend to electrically adjustable seats and 3 row AC vents, etc.
Safety features
Mahindra has also upped the ante in terms of safety on the new ScorpioN. The safety features of the SUV will include ADAS, active cruise control and emergency braking along with high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness system and blind-spot assist. It will also receive 6/7 airbags, ABS, EBD and ESP besides TPMS etc.
With these features and the ladder frame chassis on which the new Scorpion is being positioned is expected to provide a better safety rating in crash tests.
Engine Specs
In terms of engine, the Mahindra Scorpio N will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol variant mStallion engine will offer 170 PS of maximum power. On the other hand, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine will offer 130PS or 160PS power depending on the variant.
Even though the Thar and XUV700 are offered with the same engines as the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N, the engines are differently tuned. The 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine on the Thar produces 130PS while on the XUV700, it produces 155PS/185PS. However, when it comes to 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, it produces 200PS power.
The price of the Mahindra Scorpio N is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakh. When it comes to the competitors, the Scorpio N will rival the SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Kia Seltos etc.
