2022 Mahindra Scorpio-N details leaked before official launch
[ad_1]
Mahindra will reveal the much-awaited 2022 Scorpio-N later this month. While the brand has already released a few teaser videos of the upcoming Scorpio-N, the specifications still remain unknown. But some leaked information reveals quite a lot about the upcoming Scorpio-N. RavenAvi on T-Bhp brings in more details on the all-new Scorpio-N.
Engine options
The new SUV will get two engine options – petrol and diesel. There will be the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine for the Scorpio. With the manual, it will generate 172 Bhp and 370 Nm. It will be available with a 6-speed automatic as well. However, the torque output will be 400 Nm with the automatic transmission.

Alloy wheels
There will be two alloy wheel sizes available with the new Scorpio-N. The top-end manual variants will come with 17-inch rims while the automatic variants will get the dual-tone 18-inch rims. The ground clearance of the new Scorpio will be around 205mm.
Suspension
Mahindra will use rear Penta-link suspension with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD). The FSD reduces the horizontal movement of the car on the bad road surfaces. The leaked information also reveals that the high-speed handling, cornering and road manners of the new Scorpio are way better than the current-generation model.
Can off-road
The new Scorpio-N will offer 4X4 with four modes. There is no information on the availability of the low-ratio transfer case. However, it is highly likely that Mahindra will offer the low-ratio transfer case only with the pure off-road capable – Thar.
However, the Scorpio-N will be able to reach a lot of tight spaces. The SUV can handle 47 degrees of descent and 57 degrees ascents easily. There is no information on the exact approach and the departure angles yet.
Lot of features
The new Scorpio-N will come with some futuristic looks. It includes the Scorpion tail-inspired full-LED DRLs, full-LED front fog lamps, ESP, traction control, hill descent control and more. The cabin will get brown leatherette upholstery with dual-tone leather covers for the seats.
It also gets six airbags, driver drowsiness alert, tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjustment, push-button start-stop, a standard non-panoramic sunroof and more.
Mahindra will not offer the ADAS features with the new Scorpio-N. The features will remain exclusive to the XUV700. So we will not get to see the adaptive cruise control, Emergency Automatic Braking and more.
The SUV will offer a 12-speaker system from Siny with 3D sound staging. This is the same available with the XUV700.
